The Community Garden recently received a visit from Keep Scotland Beautiful.

When the assessor came he said the Community Garden was ‘Outstanding‘ .

Within the grounds of Lochwinnoch Parish Church, built in 1808, nestles this active and thriving community garden. From this space plants are produced which brighten up many street corners and the garden space gives a sense of peace away from the humdrum of daily life. There are numerous plots, raised beds and a polytunnel which are under the canopy of several mature trees.

– John MacLennan, It’s Your Neighbourhood, Keep Scotland Beautiful.

The links with the local Lochwinnoch Primary school together with growing and providing plants and flowers to the village was acknowledged.

A big thank you to all of the volunteers who have helped develop and maintain the garden.
